On July 7th and July 8th, 2018, USC’s AMCP Chapter hosted the 11th Annual AMCP Western Regional Conference under the direction of the Chapter President Brian Lee, Immediate Past-President Kristin Seto, and President-Elect Jessica Pham, with the support of AMCP Board.
With 13 schools across the West Coast in attendance, and 35 professionals over the two-day conference, students were able to network and participate in 9 different workshops, as well as participate in the 2018 Managed Care Quiz Bowl and various student activities.
The AMCP Western Regional Conference is a student-hosted conference that rotates amongst pharmacy schools, and unites pharmacy students across the West Coast for a weekend of learning, sharing ideas, networking, and developing new and lasting friendships and connections.

Dr. Rebecca Cupp
Pharmacy Quality and Medication Safety
Dr. Rebecca Cupp currently serves as the Executive Director of Pharmacy Quality and Medication Safety for Kaiser Permanente. Prior, she was the President of Cupp Health Innovations, and the Vice President of Pharmacy for Ralphs for over 14 years. Her tenure with Kroger, the parent company of Ralphs, spanned over 25 years in multiple states. Dr. Cupp is a graduate of the University of Washington, School of Pharmacy. After graduation, she spent four years on active duty as an Air Force officer before joining Kroger, as well as another seven years in the Air Force Reserves. She is also a 2008 graduate of the USC Food Industry Management Program, and Babson College's Strategic Planning Executive Management Program in 2013. Dr. Cupp has served various leadership positions in state and national pharmacy organizations, including APhA, CPhA, and is a frequent speaker across the nation, focusing on pharmacy and health care issues.

Dr. Pazirandeh is an Associate Director with the Health Economics & Outcomes Research team at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Prior, he was a Senior Clinical Pharmacist at Blue Shield of California in Outcomes & Analytics, and a resident with CVS Caremark in Analytics and Outcomes.
Dr. Lillian Lee
Dr. Lee is a Senior Strategy Associate with SmithRx in San Francisco. Prior, she was part of the commercial market insights and strategy team at the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, as a Johnson & Johnson/Rutgers University Fellow. During this time, she was an adjunct professor for pharmacy at Rutgers University.

2018 QUIZ BOWL
Teams will compete in trivia, including managed care, pharmacy, and pop culture. The first place team will receive fantastic prizes.
Teams of four will work together to complete a scavenger hunt, testing both their teamwork and managed care knowledge, finalizing the conference.
Students can take advantage of the current issues and topics in industry and managed care, or participate in workshops preparing for residency and the P&T Competition.
Network with professionals during the breakfast and lunch roundtable sessions, and join peers after-hours to establish valuable connections.
